When you first install MarketDelta it installs an empty database.  To experience MarketDelta to it fullest we recommend initially populating your database and download data using the following steps.  NOTE: You will need a data feed that supports historical tick data backfilling.

  • Open a Quote Page and add all the symbols you initially want to follow.
  • Click "QP" on the main toolbar | User Quote Page | mySymbols and add symbols.
  • Click the Download button on the main toolbar to open the Download Utility.
  • Choose the mySymbols quote page or .AllSymbols quote page.
  • Set the Periodicity to Daily and 5 Years Back.
  • Click Download and wait for it to download. Progress is shown in the white info bar beneath the main toolbar.

NEXT,

  • Set the Periodicity to 1 minute and 120 DAYS Back.
  • Click Download and wait for it to download. Progress is shown in the white info bar beneath the main toolbar.

NEXT,

I was having difficulty downloading data using the download function on the chart. Talked to John in support and apparently this is not recommended as chart corruption can lead to errors.  Using the Download Utility on main toolbar it worked like a charm.
