Hi,
I was trying to follow this page's description - http://support.marketdelta.com/entries/114800, but at the end cannot get desired resulton my chart, so will appreciate anyone's help.
1. I've created MarketProfile for daily calculation of POC Volume (see MP_Preferences.jpg)
2. I've created reference line for it and selected Label as =ALLv and value as V#2 (see MP_ReferenceLines.jpg) 3. Now I have also my initial 5min bars chart (see Chart_WithoutVReference.jpg)
4. And now I'm adding V# reference to it (see Chart_AddingVReference.jpg)
5. After that I could see value I need for May 13, i.e. 19.05 as V2 (see Chart_AfterAddedVReference.jpg)
6. But now if I slide to previous day, i.e. May 12 and I know that POC Volume for that day was 20.15 - I don't see another V#2 line for that day on this Chart (see Chart_WithAddedVReferenceNotShownForPrevDay.jpg)
How it's possible to see that another POC Volume value for another day on my Chart via this MarketProfile data referencing? I don't understand that configuration process, could you help me?
Comments
V# numbers hold a single value; this method shows the value for today only. They do not change for prior days.
To see profile information for prior days, you cannot use this method. Instead, you want to use and indicator such as the Profile indicator.
But for Profile indicator while adding it on its settings page I don't see how to link it to my particular MarketProfile definition. Let say I've saved mine as "MyProfile" - how could I link exactly to it via adding Profile indicator? I suppose that you could create a lot of MarketProfiles and have somehow each Profile indicator linked to particular one. Is it my correct understanding?
