This notice is intended ONLY for anyone using MarketDelta to submit trading orders from within the MarketDelta software. If using MarketDelta for charting and analytics, this notice does not apply and you can upgrade your MarketDelta in the normal upgrade cycle when prompted.

=====================================================================================

The CME has instituted a new requirement for all trading orders sent to its exchanges that require the sending software to flag the order as a manually submitted order or auto submitted order. In addition, the CME is requiring that the source of the trading order (MarketDelta) be identified along with the location (country code) of the user sending the order. MarketDelta and the Zenfire/Rithmic API have been updated to be compliant. This requirement goes into effect on JUNE 3RD, 2011. We apologize for the short notice, but there was little notice given to us as well.

What Constitutes a Manual or Automatic Order

Trading orders sent to the Zen-Fire/Rithmic brokerage destination are designated as Automatic or Manual trading orders. Any trading order that involves some user interaction that initiates the sending of the order are sent as manual orders. Orders that are sent by some automation, e.g. a trading system rule or a signal action will be marked automatic unless the trading order itself requires a user confirmation before sending the trade to the broker. Any automatically initiated trading order that requires a user interaction to specify a stop or limit price, e.g. via a mouse click, will be sent as a manual trading order.

Necessary Steps

IF using any of the trading functionality or sending orders from MarketDelta to Zenfire or Rithmic then you must upgrade to 10.4.x before June 3rd, 2011. We plan to have a final release of 10.4 available by that date, but at present you can get 10.4 as a beta test release from www.marketdelta.com/downloads. Once the final 10.4 is available it will also be posted to that page. This will occur by June 3rd.

If you are using some other software other than MarketDelta to send orders to Zenfire, then this notice does not apply and you should contact that software vendor.

Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if we can use this new data somehow. I think that it could be advantageous in some cases to know if the percentage of manual orders has changed and in what direction. There could be patterns.

This data is not publicly accessible. Only the exchange knows this. It is a required flag that all trading software is obligated send to the exchange when an order is generated.
