How to delete indicator that has scope of All Charts, Any Instrument

While adding an indicator I selected, Scope: All Charts, Any Instrument.  I can remove the indicator from a particular chart, or all charts on the layout, but when I restart market delta it is back on all charts. If I open a new chart, it is there. I can't get rid of this indicator. It shows back up on any chart I reopen. I tried changing the scope back to original setting, no help. I couldn't find any documentation on this.

Hi,

Two considerations here:

First, make sure you are running the most recent version of the software, 10.4.5 as some changes were made to the scope settings in the system.

Seconds, make sure you are saving your charts when you make any changes, so they do not revert to old settings at startup. You can use File > Save > Save All after you make changes to ensure this.

Hi Andrew,

I started with 10.4 beta, so that's what I was using when I first did this, have since updated to 10.4.4 and 10.4.5.

I have been saving, and tried as you suggested, but no change.

I still get the errant indicator showing up everywhere, when I open program, change instrument on a chart, etc.

The scope settings aren't on the  Setup>Preferences>Technical Indicators. I try to change the scope on each one but they just come back.

I am willing to start from scratch if that is necessary. I have only been using MD about 3 weeks.

In 10.4.5 build, if you open the object editor and select Presets as the object type while holding down the shift key, the Object Editor will list all of the user-defined (named) presets as well as the internal presets. In this case, the you can use the View command in the object editor to view the setups for your various scope presets until you find the one that is giving you trouble and delete it there in the object editor; thereafter it will not be added to any of your charts. It would be a good idea to perform internal preset deletion with all chart windows closed. Then open a few charts to verify that the present is indeed gone.

I did as you said but that didn't work. I also then deleted all charts. Restarted after both of these procedures.  Stoch is the indicator that keeps popping up. I deleted all references to stoch in the presets list.  No charts saved now. When I try to create new chart, the stoch is still there.

I'm about to start from scratch and reinstall unless I hear something else to try from you.

Thanks

Hm, not sure what might be happening here. I will contact a developer of the software for any additional tips with this.
